Cursed by Fate Blessed by Design

Are you weighted down by unresolved emotions that bring sadness and depression? Are you haunted by past traumas and hurts that give you anxiety and panic? Are you bombarded with overwhelming responsibilities and the relentless demands that life throws your way?
Do you want to eliminate negative emotional programming from your trauma and wounds? Do you want to break free from the cycle of stress and experience a life filled with ease, joy, and bliss? Do you pray for a miracle that will change your cursed, miserable destiny to a blessed, peaceful life?
Today, I want to reveal the secret of how I turned my cursed fate into a blessed existence.
Honestly, I’m absolutely head over heels in love with my life. I delight in exploring the captivating range of aromas and flavors that nature offers through new recipes, immersing myself in the art of photography, capturing moments that stir emotions, and discovering the awe-inspiring flexibility of my body as it seamlessly transitions between power of kickboxing strikes and the fluidity of salsa movements.
Each day, I can’t help but wonder what kind of magic awaits me. I am living a life filled with purpose, joy, and love. So, you might ask, am I just lucky?
However, this is not always the case.
I used to hate my life, thinking I was cursed rather than blessed. My hopelessness took root at a young age. With every life disaster and trauma that happened to me, it was incredibly difficult for me to believe in the presence of any hidden blessings.
Years ago, two days before my birthday, I reached out to the Crisis Line because I was about to be evicted. I found myself with nothing—unable to pay the rent, devoid of job prospects, lacking financial resources, estranged from my family, and not even a morsel of food in the fridge.
“Why am I here?” I burst into tears, gazing at my entire life, burdened by a sense of being unwanted, useless, and a perpetual failure. I couldn’t see a way to pull myself out of this despairing situation.
As much as the universe wanted to help me and guide me to the secret that I was seeking. I rejected the idea immediately. I engaged in an inner dialogue with my angels, exclaiming, “You must be kidding me. You are saying that I should be thankful for all these terrible things that happened to me.”
Really, the unspeakable tragedy of the torment and abuse in childhood, compounded by the spirit-broken trauma of incestuous sexual assault, the never-ending waves of grief, the shattered marriage, the series of car accidents, countless illnesses on my barely standing straight, tiny, wimpy skeleton body. It seems that an invisible army conspired to strike me down so they could celebrate as their mission was accomplished.
Acted out like a child, I held the grudge and refused to give in. As angry and frustrated as I was and overwhelmed by the weight of my circumstances, my life was suffering the consequences. It was too painful to change, or it was too painful not to change.
Yet, the universe granted me a second chance. My second encounter happened when I chanced upon a book by Joe Vitale, a man who had experienced homelessness in his own life. His words ignited a spark within me, forever altering my perception. I took a leap of faith and thought, why not? I had nothing to lose. Thus, seated at my desk, I began counting my blessings, focusing intently on every minor triumph and victory.
Initially, I didn’t feel the joy of gratitude, it was like a tiny leak in a pipe, barely perceptible. Doubt began to creep into my thoughts once more, as I failed to sense any tangible change. However, before I could comprehend what was unfolding, the phenomenon of the snowball effect took hold. Those blessings, mere droplets of water, transformed into a gentle drizzle, and then an abundant downpour. Joy, happiness, peace, and —everything I had ever asked for—suddenly surrounded me. I basked in an enormous sense of love and felt incredibly blessed.
This simple act of counting my blessings completely transformed my life and became my secret ingredient to turn my life around.
As I reflect on how this small shift in attitude profoundly changed my life, I realize that it is in this act of recognition, of counting my blessings, that I shift my focus from scarcity to abundance, from despair to hope, and from fear to courage.
I train my mind to seek out the good, the beautiful, and the uplifting aspects of life. It is as if I equip myself with a pair of glasses that filters out negativity, enabling me to see the world through a lens of appreciation and wonder.
Our past experiences tend to lock us in a prison, torture us as victims, and trap us in the dark, making us feel there’s no way out. The key to freeing ourselves is through gratitude. Gratitude reminds me that even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of light, a reason to persevere, and to rise above.
Life itself is a miracle. Embrace it, cherish it, appreciate it. It will take you on a journey that is beyond your imagination.
Gratitude is the key to unlocking the miracle.”
The choice is yours: Cursed by fate or blessed by design.
